Back in 1949 when Ray and Donna Densmore set up shop in their Old Mystic home, the cornerstone of their fuel oil business was customer satisfaction. Sixty-one years later, that same philosophy is continued by their son, Mark, who runs the company out of a beautifully restored building on Water Street, in the heart of downtown Mystic.

We make "Warm Friends", is more than just a slogan that Donna Densmore dreamed up over 60 years ago, she understood the value of a family owned and operated business. By putting the family name on every service van and fuel delivery truck they continued to maintain the importance of a warm, friendly, family attitude.

Densmore Oil Company customers are assured of personalized attention from the office staff and service technician team that is on the road. The best advertising is word of mouth, and since the emphasis has been on customer service, word travels quickly.

In the past 60 years, Densmore Oil Company and the Densmore family have donated over $25,000 a year to charities, youth sports teams, local hospitals, community associations and the Stonington High School scholarship fund.
